Position Overview:
The Advancement Director holds a key position in driving forward our mission of empowering local communities, in alignment with core values of hope, dignity, and empowerment. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Advancement Director will spearhead efforts to nurture and strengthen relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and government agencies. This pivotal role is crucial in ensuring the sustainability and expansion of our organization's vital programs and services.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify and pursue diverse funding streams, including individual donors, corporate partnerships, foundations, and government grants.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Finance Committee to create and execute an annual advancement plan tied to specific revenue goals.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with individual donors, major donors, corporate partners, volunteers, churches, media, and public officials.
- Develop strategies for donor retention and acknowledgment.
- Lead Major Gifts and Planned Giving programs in collaboration with the Advancement Team, Executive Director, and Board.
- Research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and provide timely and accurate reporting.
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including capital campaigns, annual appeals, and special initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing vendors to create compelling campaign materials.
- Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, including community fundraisers and donor appreciation events.
- Coordinate logistics, secure sponsorships, and manage event budgets.
- Recruit and manage event chairs and committees.
- Oversee the management of the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring accurate processing of gifts, pledges, payments, and acknowledgments.
- Generate reports and analyze data to inform fundraising strategies.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors and organizational leadership to engage them in fundraising activities.
- Develop and implement a communication plan in collaboration with the Executive Director and Social Media Coordinator to highlight fundraising initiatives.
- Represent the organization at public events and in the media as needed.
- Participate in required trainings and stay updated on relevant industry information.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge NTX.
- Three to five years of development and/or marketing experience in the nonprofit sector.

Bachelors

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with donor management software and database systems, preferably Raiser's Edge.
- Two years of volunteer experience with nonprofits.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to set and achieve ambitious fundraising goals.
- Must demonstrate a deep passion for fostering hope within the community and a strong commitment to advancing the organization
