The Advertising Senior Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an intergral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead marketing, advertising and media strategy and execution. Ensure the strategy is well-coordinated across all products, channels and partnerships and speaks to the value proposition that Citi has to offer
+ Ensure all marketing and advertising globally is world class, aligned with brand and communicates the clear value proposition of being a Citi customer to drive organic growth
+ Deliver Global Advertising with impact – develop a compelling business case to fund Global and/or Regional Brand Advertising that complements Product-led Advertising, creating awareness and consideration of Citi products and services (working with Brand and Business teams)
+ Own all primary global agency relationships, ensuring deliver of the best strategic thinking and creative work for the business
+ Continue to develop breakthrough social marketing content engagement presence in partnership with different lines of business.
+ Drive global marketing and branding effectiveness ensuring clear improvements. Establish a Global Marketing Scorecard in partnership with insights and the business
+ Attract and develop talent to meet our client’s needs and ensure forward compatible success
+ Build and shape a forward compatible team and culture through leadership by example; championing progress and embodying our core forward compatible competencies of curiosity, determination, adaptability, boldness and collaboration
+ Drive innovation in new marketing approaches (media, channels, partners) and work with markets to apply to key global initiatives (i.e., perceptual scale)
+ Partner with client business to influence strategic business initiatives (i.e., product development, communication strategies)
+ Define Global tone and personality
+ Create standards, guidelines and process for all regions/markets to leverage, ensuring positive impact on the Net Promoter Score and marketing drivers
+ Play a primary role in ensuring our portfolio is optimized, focusing on the right partnerships, experiences and activation programs. Deliver clear value for the business profit and loss and our Target Clients
+ Liaise with Enterprise Brand Marketing to ensure our joint goals are met
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
**Qualifications:**
+ 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
+ Demonstrated expertise across all channels: TV, radio, print, OOH, digital;
+ Advanced digital media/partnership experience
+ Senior level agency management experience
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

**Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:**
$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
