Overview:
Responsible for managing and the reporting of financial information, including the analysis of finance performance, for the assigned region whilst ensuring the accuracy of financial records throughout the year and compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures. Focus includes improving financial performance and operational efficiencies and supporting Line Manager's decision-making processes. Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Facilitate and ensure all countries and regional audit items are addressed timely and accurately.
Drives continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance department that improves productivity, process efficiency and service excellence standards. This includes reviewing performance metrics and ensure KPIs are met timely, working with various stakeholders to tap onto financial system's functionality, reviewing and sharing best practices to ensure strong internal control within the function.
Responsibilities:
Finance Operations & Compliance
Review bank reconciliations performed by Country Finance; investigate and close off open items with respective team.Review expenses claims entries performed by Country Finance and ensure posting to correct expenditure accounts and consistency across region; analyze and identify patterns/trends. Responsible for the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of accounts for the region; includes generating financial reports, data analysis; Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations etc. Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending. Conduct monthly and quarterly accounts reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Review all intercompany transactions and ensure eliminations are performed correctly.Review CAPEX reconciliations and tracking performed by the Fixed Assets team; work closely with the team to resolve outstanding issues or discrepancies. Prepare budget forecasts and support Finance Manager in annual budgeting exercise for review by Management.Prepare tax computations, tax returns and process tax payments; work closely with Global Tax team to resolve outstanding issues.Lead both internal and external audits; close out all outstanding items with auditors and various teams.Correct standardized set up of Cost Center structureCreate and deliver standardized reporting and secure corporate reports (structured and ad-hoc) within time and as per expected qualitySecure timely payments of all tax related mattersAlign with Corporate Tax as well as external tax partiesAlignment with HR around salary and HR/admin activities (e.g. reconciliation salary administration vs financial administration).Support Working Capital and Business Controlling if needed.Financial Information Systems & Continuous Improvements
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.Work with IT team to enhance existing and/or adopt new system functionalities; manage project timeline on implementation and provide trainings to the Finance team; review and evaluate ROI post-implementation.Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.Participate in financial standards setting; develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Follow up and improve alignment and tasks with Shared Services/CMAR.Continuous improvement on new reports, reactive and proactive.Find improvements and optimization as well as risk around VAT and CIT.Qualifications:
General Experience
Substantial comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level (Preferred Over 6 to 10 years). Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (Preferred Over 3 years).
In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and reporting standards. Strong background in Finance and analytical skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial modeling software).
The typical starting salary range for this position is: $74,200 - $90,100.
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
