The Role
Are you a passionate data analyst looking to make a difference? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advisor, Marketing Data Analyst to join our dynamic Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising division, reporting into the head of Supporter Growth. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and enhance our marketing and fundraising efforts. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, generating actionable insights, and providing recommendations that optimize our outreach and engagement strategies. You will play a crucial role in understanding and segmenting our supporter base, helping to ensure we develop effective communications that resonate deeply with key audiences. You will also serve as primary contact with internal and external data partners to bolster your own efforts in analysis and insights generation.
To thrive in this role, you will collaborate cross-divisionally and develop a deep understanding of our current and target supporters and marketing strategies. You will utilize data to solve business challenges and uncover new opportunities to enable us to deliver on the agency’s strategic goals, contributing to strong and sustained growth throughout the marketing funnel.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
*not inclusive of all role responsibilities. May be subject to changeData Analysis and Reporting (50%)
Analyze data to identify trends and surface opportunities for fundraising and marketing campaign optimization Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track campaign and file health performance in partnership with technology teams Organize and present your findings in an actionable way to key stakeholders, from campaign managers to senior leadership Identify and track key drivers for acquisition, attrition and increased engagement for all supporter groups Evaluate campaign effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement Take full ownership of analysis and insights from briefing to deliveryPartner Collaboration and Mobilization (30%)
Lead the relationship with external data partner, including annual budget and forecast planning work and ongoing prioritization efforts for custom analysis and modeling Set clear criteria for evaluating analytics requests from internal stakeholders and determine best way to resource and prioritize Lead and/or support internal and external benchmarking effortsInnovation & Optimization (20%)
Mine the data independently to identify trends and opportunities Research and develop new analytics technologies and methodologies that can improve and provide added benefit to reports and insights generation Partner with internal colleagues to develop measurement definitions and tools to ensure we are capturing data consistently and best utilizing it to advance goals Work collaboratively with marketing and technology divisions to enhance data capture, hygiene, management, governance, reporting and insights Support ad-hoc projects as neededRequired qualifications for the role
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data analysis, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience Demonstrated track record of using data analytics to drive marketing and fundraising strategies and outcomes Demonstrated understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques Experience with CRO and other website optimization strategies Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI or similar Proven ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders Experience managing multiple projects, issues, and priorities effectively and simultaneously with attention to detail Professional proficiency in MS Office suite Professional proficiency in spoken and written EnglishPreferred qualifications for the role
Experience with Salesforce Platforms, including Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Intelligence Familiarity with project management tools, like JIRA & Monday.com Familiarity with fundraising and non-profit CRM platforms and data Experience with ETL processes to manage and integrate large datasets Experience supporting a multichannel marketing program Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.Compensation
Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:
Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $84,150 – $94,050 base salary Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $76,500 – $85,500 base salary Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $68,850 – $76,950 base salaryThe salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
