About the Role

We are seeking an Advisor, Materials Management to provide supply chain and logistics support, focusing on warehouse operations, inventory control, and materials optimization. This role will support capital planning, compliance monitoring, and operational improvements to ensure a streamlined and cost-effective materials management process. This role will focus on data review, analytics, reporting, and process optimization to improve materials management efficiency across Newmont’s operations.

Your role will consist of

Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day responsibilities:

Analyze and maintain inventory levels using demand management tools, optimizing stock availability while preventing excess.Support end-to-end materials management processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and compliance with Newmont standards.Utilize forecasting models and historical data to predict materials demand and improve procurement planning.Support site and regional warehouse teams with inventory count accuracy, investigations, and reconciliation of discrepancies.Work closely with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and maintenance planners to improve inventory visibility, controls, and performance.Generate and analyze inventory control reports, tracking usage, turnover rates, and material movements across global sites.Provide data-driven insights to optimize working capital and improve inbound logistics flows.Monitor stock aging and surplus inventory, ensuring effective management of inactive or obsolete materials.Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align global inventory strategies with business objectives. What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience in global materials management, inventory optimization, and supply chain analytics.

Previous involvement in materials management improvement projects, working across multiple departments.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in SAP, Oniqua, and materials management systems.

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, data modeling) and experience with analytics tools.

Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint for strategic reporting.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Problem-solving mindset, balancing operational needs with strategic improvements.

Adaptability to work across multiple functions and present insights to different audiences.

Working Conditions and Location

This position is based at the Denver Corporate Office or one of the Regional Hubs.

Travel may be required to supplier sites, regional offices, and mining operations to facilitate global category management and supplier negotiations.

The role requires collaborating across different time zones, engaging with global teams and stakeholders.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $88,000 to 115,500. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.  

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
