**About the Role** Serves as a Subject Matter resource within a function by offering advice on difficult issues within their area of expertise. Provides creative and effective solutions to problems and assists in the development of policies and procedures. Has a thorough knowledge of the functional area, works independently and interacts with peer-level employees across Canon. May provide input into establishing annual objectives for the function. Typically reports to a Senior Manager or Director, and may mentor or supervise one or two less experienced professional staff. **Your Impact** - -Responsible for providing expert technical advice, consulting to sales teams and customers in design and implementation of complex and Commercial software solutions and professional services. Provide technical support in sales presentations, customer training, and the delivery of professional services. Role will have a defined subject matter expertise. Works with the sales team with the evaluation of prospective customers, account strategy, and possible Commercial printing applications and solutions; and then participate in sales calls as needed. - Participates in on-site visits to customers for meetings, surveys and inspections. - Meets with customer IT staff as technical advisor. - Collaborates with RFP responses and provide on-going project management support on large, complex, diverse and challenging solution architecting and implementation. - Collaborates on the installation and integration of products and product applications. - Responsible for generating professional services revenue streams independent of equipment, conducting customer training classes, and providing installation and integration direction of advanced Color Solutions. - Interfaces with third party software solutions vendors to drive awareness and drive net new opportunities. - Participates in the preparation of large, high value sales proposals; ensuring configurations are complete and accurate. - Interfaces with the sales team as a technical advisor during and after sales cycle of software workflow solutions through professional services. - Provide post sales consultation with customers on the onboarding of new work products leveraging industry best practices. - Leverages subject matter expertise to support the needs of other analyst(s). - Provides training to the analyst community on an as needed basis. - Responsible for project management of customer engagements, identifying, allocating and managing project resources, documenting proposed solutions, driving solution implementation and communicating with all parties involved in solutions delivery. - Builds a base of architected solutions for potential re-use with net new customers. - Works closely with analyst, project management and HQ to ensure the success of assigned solution project. Advanced Datastream knowledge – Postscript, PDF, VIPP, PPML and AFP a plus, Understanding of complex systems solutions, integration and networking in Windows, UNIX & Macintosh environments, Understanding of color profiling systems, screening sets, color calibration, ICC profiles and their effect on color gamut across various substrates, Expert in Acrobat Professional, Distiller and Enfocus Pitstop in regards to advanced PDF and PostScript file editing capabilities. **About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring** Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 7 years of related experience. - Relevant business experience relating to printing pre-sales support in Commercial Print production environments. - Understand and be comfortable in using the Adobe Creative Suite product, Quark Xpress and/or other standard Color composition and management tools and respective file formats (JPEG, TIFF. EPS, PDF). - Extensive travel may be required, up to 70% travel with overnight stays (valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record necessary). Certain minimum auto insurance coverages are required.
