Chevron Venezuela is accepting online applications for the position **Advisor, Wells Safety** through **February 11, 2025.**
• Provide daily functional direction and support to Workforce Safety and Health performance and processes (including CHESM/COEM, MSW, OH, FFD, II&R, BBS and MVS)
• Review and provide feedback to Supervisors and crew on hazard assessment and risk assessment documents.
• Ensure that all requirements of the Health and Safety Program are being carried out by all personnel, including management, contractors, etc.
• Provide support and direction to the field crews in the use of the Health and Safety Standards.
• Attend Pre-start meeting, rig inspections and other.
• Coordinate and participate in testing of the overall Emergency Plan.
• Coordinate, prepare and implement orientation sessions.
• Provide topics, attend, and evaluate Weekly Safety meetings, and provide instructive guidance to the Supervisors conducting the meetings.
• Completion and submission of incident investigations and reports.
• Promote HSE awareness and responsibility through safety meetings, communications, and training programs.
• Conduct Safety Inspection of specialized D&C equipment.
• Monitor, evaluate, and take action on all sub-standard conditions and work practices, including Safe Work Practices (LOTO, PTW, SIMOPS, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Hot Work, etc)
• Establishes and maintains electronic record keeping for all site-specific training activities.
Additional Job Description:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or university equivalent required. Mechanical; Industrial; Oil&gas; Health and Safety and/or Environmental degree.
+ Significant relevant HSE experience required. 10 -15 years of experience.
+ Knowledge of international regulations (OSHA, NFPA, EPA, NIOSH, IADC, IOGP, API).
+ Strong Knowledge of Local regulations (COVENIN, INPSASEL, PDVSA).
+ Experience on specialized drilling equipment inspections including services and drilling rigs.
+ Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis - Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence-based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting and avoiding repeated incidents.
+ Oil & Gas / D&C / Well Services site HSE experience is highly desired.
