  About the role

As an Advisor Implementation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the advisor onboarding and asset transition process. This collaborative position requires you to work closely with sales, product, and investing teams to ensure the seamless integration of Betterment’s platform for advisors. You will serve as a technical product expert, guiding advisors through the asset transition process. You will also provide consultative guidance on utilizing tools and executing transfers, which may involve direct communication with their end clients. Your expertise will enable advisors to fully leverage Betterment’s tools to meet their unique needs. Your work will directly impact the success of our advisors, fostering strong, lasting relationships through effective implementation and hands-on support throughout the transition.

This role is remote eligible. Below we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. The actual compensation offered will be based on candidate experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment’s total compensation package for employees. 

$77,000 - $84,000 + Commission

This job is eligible for variable compensation in the form of a commission bonus.

  A day in the life Own and manage the end-to-end implementation process for advisors, ensuring timely and successful asset transfers, account setups, and product adoption. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams to align on implementation needs and advisor-specific requirements. Be a technical product expert, providing deep insights into the Betterment platform, asset transfer processes, and integration points. Work directly with advisors to understand their needs and guide them on how to best utilize Betterment’s product to optimize their workflows. Track and manage the progress of multiple advisor implementations simultaneously, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication throughout. Work to resolve any implementation issues or concerns, ensuring that advisors have a positive and productive onboarding experience.   What we’re looking for 5+ years of experience in a project management, relationship management, or advisor services role, ideally within the financial services or fintech industry. Strong understanding of asset transfer processes and strategies. In-depth knowledge of financial advising processes, including asset management, client account setup, and ongoing advisor-client interactions. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to work with clients and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. Experience in collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product, and technical teams to align on business needs and technical solutions. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring deadlines and expectations are met. Highly detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Series 66, CFP, or equivalent licensing preferred

In the interview process, we’ll look to learn more about your skills, experiences, capabilities, and motivators. Many of our questions will be aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, as we want to collect a robust set of data points to better inform our decisions.

On average, it takes us around 3-5 weeks to make a hiring decision, depending on your availability and sense of urgency. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 2-3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision. Please note that, as we usually receive an overwhelming number of  applications for open positions, we’re unable to offer individual feedback during the interview process.
