Advisory Manager – Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Utilities Project Delivery

We are seeking individuals at the Manager level to join our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice. Candidates should have the ability to listen to, understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and to execute the work. The candidate should also have the ability to lead client service teams and mentor junior staff members. Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences that will allow you to learn and understand our practice. Managers will be staffed on engagements where they will have the opportunity to provide an array of program and project management services.

Work you’ll do

You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of different projects, across many different industries and with colleagues from around the globe. As a Manager in our practice, you will:

Advise clients on all aspects of the capital project delivery and execution process across the entire project lifecycle, including cost and schedule assurance, risk analysis and avoidance, contracting/procurement, data analytics and project governanceLead and manage teams or workstreams to contribute to the overall project successCollaborate with client team members to gather and analyze information, prepare potential solutions, and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholdersDevelop and maintain templates, reports, and dashboards to facilitate project tracking, monitoring, and reportingProvide counseling & coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staffParticipate and lead aspects of the proposal development processActively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities and provide input and guidance into the staffing processParticipate in Client relationship development

The team

Deloitte’s Infrastructure and Capital Projects team advises clients on managing business controversy and conflict, executing deals, and maintaining regulatory compliance. We provide services to companies throughout their lifecycle from purchasing a company to investigating potential fraud. Our professionals bring vast experience, specialized skillsets, and deep industry knowledge to our clients. This personalized level of service, combined with the market reach and technical resources of the Deloitte member firms and their affiliates, enables us to respond to the complex and diverse needs of our clients around the world. The I&CP practice is a market leader in delivering solutions related to transactions and business events across the capital asset lifecycle. Our clients are in asset-intensive industries such as oil and gas, power and utilities, technology & media, consumer and industrial products, healthcare, and the public sector. Our professionals, many of whom are architects and engineers with practical industry experience and advanced degrees, provide services through our Project Delivery market offering.

These services are delivered across the five primary phases of the capital asset lifecycle (Strategy & Planning, Procurement, Execution & Construction, Operations & Maintenance, and Disposal) and include assessments to capital efficiency, governance structure and process design, contractual compliance, risk management, claims management, project management, and project controls and analytics.

Qualifications required:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred) or construction management5+ years of experience working on substations or electrical power transmission projectsSpecialized knowledge in utility infrastructure project management, including program and project controls, financial planning, documentation management, contract administration, and construction supervisionDemonstrated experience with project controls and scheduling using Primavera P6Demonstrated experience working on major construction projectsDemonstrated experience in business development, strategic planning, and managing client relationshipsDemonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audienceAbility to create and deliver client service work that exceeds client expectationsAbility to understand and analyze construction documentsProfessional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oralProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointSupervising, training, and developing staff on client requirements as well as assessing staff performanceAbility to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or any time in the future

Preferred:

Master’s degree in architecture or engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred) or construction management and MBAAt least one of the following certifications: RA, PE, ASA, PMP, CFA, CFE, CCE or CPAProficiency in using Project Management tools, including Oracle Unifier, Procore, Hexagon Ecosys, Kahua, Primavera P6, and Power BIExperience in a professional services firmInternational engagement experienceMulti-lingual

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,025 - $218, 213.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
