Advisory Real Estate Valuation Manager - Litigation Support
Advisory Manager - Real Estate Valuation (Litigation Support) Do you thrive in times of disruption? Do you have a passion for real estate and the various asset classes within the industry? As a Consultant in our Valuation and Modeling practice at Deloitte, you will join our real estate team and have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries while building your professional skills by participating in a variety of projects. You will be involved in helping our clients understand, analyze, and respond to various business opportunities and challenges presented by real estate transactions and key business and investment decisions. Work you'll do You will have the opportunity to work on projects to help advise clients to effectively select, deliver, manage, and value investments in capital assets and real estate to maximize returns and reduce risk. You'll leverage advanced, technology-enabled solutions to help our clients more confidently make decisions and execute on those decisions to drive performance. Your key responsibilities will include: + Consulting Counsel: Advise client attorneys on various complex real estate issues + Conducting Comprehensive Research: Utilize both primary and secondary data sources to provide in-depth insights + Organizing and Analyzing Data: Manage large datasets, ensuring data integrity and clarity + Engaging with Market Participants: Conduct interviews with market participants and property managers to gather actionable intelligence + Drafting Reports: Create detailed and insightful memos and reports to effectively communicate findings + Performing Lease Abstractions and Audits: Conduct thorough lease abstractions, audits, and revenue optimization analysis to maximize returns + Creating Financial Models: Develop precise financial and cash flow models using tools like Argus, DYNA, and Excel + Conducting Economic and Demographic Analyses: Perform analyses to inform strategic decisions + Applying Audit and Reporting Standards: Ensure all evaluations adhere to applicable audit and reporting standards + Executing Inspections: Conduct comprehensive inspections of real estate projects and review third-party appraisals The team Our Deloitte Advisory Valuation Real Estate team serves clients throughout nearly all industries, handling many types of property-related issues, including due diligence, lease advisory, market analyses, underwriting process evaluations, portfolio related services, litigation support and expert witness services, and complex property analysis and valuation. Our professionals frequently deal with large portfolios of real property assets on a regional, national, and even global basis. We also cover the full spectrum of real estate valuation services, from evaluating large and diverse portfolios to performing single-property analyses, as well as identifying and performing valuations of tangible and intangible real estate-related assets. Qualifications Required + Bachelor's, Master's, or advanced degree in real estate, economics, accounting, finance, business administration with a focus on real estate/economics, or a related field + eminent domain, complex property analysis and valuation + Licensed as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in at least one state and significant progress towards MAI designation + Demonstrated proficiency in Argus Enterprise software + Proven leadership in project management and execution of real estate valuation engagements + Experience participating in the sales process, including responding to RFPs and performing oral presentations + Expertise in business strategic planning and client relationship management + Ability to develop project timelines with key milestones to meet client deadlines + Experience mentoring, developing, and evaluating staff in valuation and client requirements + Competence in managing project budgets and mitigating associated risks + Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint + Willingness and ability to travel as required for client service engagements + Must be a US Citizen Preferred + MAI (and CPA, CFA, or ASA considered positive ) Information for applicants with a need for accommodation: https://www2.deloitte.com/us/en/pages/careers/articles/join-deloitte-assistance-for-disabled-applicants.html For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York State and Jersey City, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Jersey City, and New York State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,928 - $218,213. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
