RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Ensure One Voice through a locally aligned communication and advocacy strategy on issues, corporate key messages and positioningDevelop and implement a local advocacy strategy (activities in public & governmental affairs and engagement within industry and business associations) in order to ensure license to operate and to support the business strategies.Position BASF with key political contacts and relevant audiences. Develop and maximize the usefulness of links with key opinion formers and relevant decision-makers in Central Asia.Overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and delivery of the communications service in line with the annual budgetary objectives assigned.Lead crisis communications, providing necessary training to stakeholders. Drive locally corporate external communications incl. media relations and brand awareness initiatives. Drive local employee communications keeping employees up-to-date and ensure access to BASF group-wide information for all employees in the country.Drive local digital communications ensuring a consistent user journey on BASF’s online presences incl. web and social media.Collaborate with local Business Unit heads to support their communication needs.  QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

 

University education, direction Communication (sciences) or Public AffairsProficiency in English both written and spoken

 

            Professional Experience / Technical skills:          

      

At least five years' work experience in governmental relations and business communication in a comparable position. Knowledge of the local media landscape as well as governmental processes.   Experience in a cross-cultural organization, government-public sector is an advantage. Strong editorial skills

 

Soft skills:

 

Collaborative and entrepreneurial approachAnalytical thinking and developed strategic thinking Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
