Committed to taking a holistic approach to support and empower students, faculty and staff who have experienced various types of violence, abuse, and/or harm. This position will be responsible for: + **40%** direct service for clients providing advocacy support services + **40** % supervision and management for Victim Survivor Advocacy functions. + **20%** other duties as assigned including data and assessment, program development, outreach, and developing partnerships Victim-survivor advocacy support services will be in compliance with VAWA Federal Campus Security ACT , Title IX regulations, and the Clery Act. The advocate will be responsible for assessment and ongoing individual case management to identify both immediate and long-term needs, rights, options, and appropriate referrals for survivors. These services include safety planning; academic support; medical and mental health referrals; legal and criminal justice support; reporting assistance; and crisis response to their clients. The successful candidate will be an active participant in serving the mission of the Center for Campus Wellness through campus and community education, advocacy, outreach, and unique events. Our expectation is that all employees are engaged in this work to create a welcoming environment that supports the success of both students and staff and ensures they have the opportunity to be fully incorporated into university life. **Responsibilities** + **Deliver Direct Support:** Provide client-centered advocacy and case management services, ensuring accurate, timely documentation to deliver comprehensive and high-quality care for survivors. + **Advocacy Staffing:** Provide staffing support and supervision for ongoing client caseloads with advocacy team, contributing to consistent and seamless advocacy services. + **Policy Compliance:** Ensure compliance across advocacy services related to reporting, support procedures, and compliance with laws such as the University of Utah policy, Campus SAVE Act, Clery Act, and Title IX. + **Confidentiality Assurance:** Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality requirements, including the Utah Confidential Communications Act and FERPA , safeguarding client trust and privacy. + **Education and Training:** Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for faculty, staff, and students on responding effectively and empathetically to reports of sexual assault, violence, and/or harm. + **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Build and maintain productive relationships with campus and community partners, addressing sensitive topics with professionalism and fostering collaboration on issues of interpersonal violence. + **Committee Engagement:** Actively participate in and contribute to campus and community committees, task forces, and partnerships that align with the mission and objectives of the Center for Campus Wellness. + **Data and Program Support:** Assist in data collection and evaluation efforts to inform decision-making and improve services. Provide ongoing support for peer-led programs and other initiatives designed to meet the evolving needs of the campus community. + **Awareness and Outreach:** Collaborate on educational initiatives and outreach efforts, including the planning and execution of awareness campaigns like Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Adapt to emerging priorities to continually advance campus wellness. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.
