The Aeroderivative Engineering Quality Leader is a high visibility role that will be responsible for driving a culture of quality, continuous improvement and “Zero Defect” mindset across all aspects of the value stream aligned to the strategic initiatives and objectives of the business. The Quality Leader will partner effectively with other functions on creating and implementing a framework to improve engineering quality, mitigate risk, prioritize initiatives and drive focused data-driven solutions to enhance the Quality Management System and execution.Job Description
What you’ll do
Define, lead, and implement quality strategy across all regions for the Aeroderivative Engineering R&D, Order Execution (ITR) and Services teams.
Ensure the deployment of Quality policies, processes, standards, and tools, through proper action plan and measurement.
Lead and drive Quality Management Systems, Product, Project and Services Quality and Continuous Improvement to meet organizational objectives
Identify, analyze and lead resolutions for all Quality issues globally, and manage all associated interfaces with Engineering Quality, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain (GSC) and other functions to ensure issues are assessed for risk, actions plans to address the risk are produced and followed through and long term preventive actions are identified and implemented.
Establish a robust, transparent and actionable lessons learnt feedback loop through the value chain.
Initiate and lead any initiative contributing to quality improvement as a competitive edge, and for Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction, at any stage of the value chain, from R&D to end of product life cycle.
Ensure product and project initial quality and reliability metrics are monitored, trended and actions assigned where needed for driving improvements.
Drive a problem-solving culture using relevant root cause analysis tools and methods such as 8D problem-solving methodology.
Ensure compliance to QMS standards as well as Business Continuity Plans
What you’ll bring (basic qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field OR a High School Diploma/ GED with extensive (20+ years) of Aeroderivative Engineering experience.
Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering or quality function.
Experience working on complex technical issues with cross-functional teams, and in large matrix organization
Eligibility requirements
Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to work 100% onsite in Houston, TX (occasional hybrid exception possible).
What will make you stand out
Master’s degree in Engineering or another relevant technical/business field.
Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
Experience in Quality Management Systems (and associated tools and methodology) within an industrial and/or Hi-Tech industry.
Ability to clearly articulate and prioritize quality related issues and required solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to navigate complex, large-scale projects.
Passionate and strong change agent, with developed communication and presentation skills (Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization).
Demonstrated ability to establish sustainable processes.
Data-driven, but decisive despite ambiguity.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
The base pay range for this position is $144,900.00 - 241,200.00 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
