Job Summary:

As an Aerospace Application Engineer at Altair, you will play a pivotal role as a technical consultant by actively driving the technical evaluation and implementation of Altair solutions for aerospace clients and prospects. You will provide solution proposals, technical support, training, and benchmarks.

What You Will Do:

Collaborate with Altair’s aerospace industry clients and prospects. Plan and deliver presentations and live demonstrations of Altair products. Conduct on-site visits to understand customer needs and provide technical support. Request and manage the development of features based on customer requirements. Discuss potential sales opportunities with the sales team. Maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers, proposing new features and use cases. Propose Altair’s consulting services to develop complex, high-level solutions and solve challenging problems. Collaborate with Altair’s customer support team to resolve customer support issues. Conduct training, benchmarks, and projects.

What You Will Need:

 

Basics:

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Experience using Altair products. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in FEA. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with technical engineers at various levels. Excellent presentation skills. Strong problem-solving capabilities. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred:

Experience in the aerospace, defense, or space industries. Exposure to various physics domains (e.g., fluid dynamics, electromagnetics). Proficiency in English.
