As a newly hired employee in the Mechanical Engineer – Aerospace Direct Hire Program, you will work in a dynamic, fast paced environment working on technology and components for the next generation of military and commercial aircraft. This includes research, design, development and testing for mechanical systems, products, components, and applications for space, military and commercial aerospace and related applications.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year. This position offers a one-time $6,000 signing bonus and relocation package.

**What you'll do:**
• Provide technical design, analysis, and guidance for new product development, product improvements, test components, rigs, and systems.
• Lead and participate in efforts to solve problems with product design, inspection, manufacturing, and test encountered by vendors, company operations personnel, and customers.
• Serve as technical contact and liaison between Mechanical Engineering and internal and external customers.
• Coordinate with Project Engineering and Program Management to support targets and milestones for project budgets and schedules.
• Create and/or guides the creation of technical documents, including Engineering drawings (following ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14.34 standards), test procedures, test reports, and design review material.
• Support IR&D projects and implementation of new technologies such as Additive Manufacturing.
**Qualifications:**
**Required (Basic) Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a graduation date no later than August 2025.
• Minimum of one internship or co-op experience completed at the time of this application.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community.
• Two or more relevant internships or co-op experiences.
• Design engineering experience.
**Skills:**
• This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the Assignment Manager.
• Ability to relocate to one of the following Eaton facilities: Davenport, IA or Orchard Park, NY.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts.
