HX5 is currently seeking an Aerospace Systems Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will support the Human Landing System (HLS) Uncrewed Transit mission segment, which includes launch to orbit, launch vehicle separation, docking, refueling, trans-lunar injection, mid-course corrections, lunar orbit insertion, loiter, and up to approach to Gateway/Orion. The selected candidate will act as the HLS Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Uncrewed Transit Mission Segment Lead and facilitate collaboration among the various discipline leads as they perform contractor insight to ensure the mission is successful.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
Facilitate collaboration between the contractors and the NASA technical teams Maintain insight into contractor activities and provide technical assessment of performance Act as the Technical Point of Contact for overseeing contractor requirement design implementation, verification, and validation Support program planning including schedule assessments and process improvementsThis effort is monitored by the Human Space Flight Systems Branch at NASA GRC, which is responsible for systems engineering leadership and shared project system architect leadership roles to enable the successful implementation of NASA human spaceflight or human spaceflight-enabling programs and projects, including launch vehicles and spacecraft. The selected candidate will also support the HLS SE&I Uncrewed Transit Mission Segment Lead within the NASA GRC Mission Architecture and Analysis Branch.
Required Skills:

Completed at least a bachelor degree with a STEM-related major, from an accredited program, with the following education and experience:
Bachelor of Science degree with 5 to10 years of relevant experience Master of Science degree with 3 to 6 years of relevant experienceOther Position Requirements:
