Aerospace Welder
**Job Title: Aerospace Welder** **Job Description** We are a veteran-owned custom fabrication facility specializing in non-ferrous fabrication. Our facility serves the defense, aerospace, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries, and operates as a job shop. We are looking to bring on a highly skilled Aerospace Welder with both Mig/Tig welding and fitting experience to join our team. **Responsibilities** + Perform Tig welding on sheet metal, stainless steel, and steel. + Engage in fabrication and fitting on fixtures and forming. + Handle projects ranging from small to very large pieces, depending on the project requirements. + Set up and run welding machines. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Use the appropriate gases for different welds. + Understand and apply welding symbols. + Work primarily on prototype/job shop welding (no production). **Essential Skills** + 8+ years of Aerospace Welding experience. + Proficiency in Mig and Tig welding. + Fitting experience. + Ability to read blueprints. + Experience working with materials such as sheet metal, stainless steel, and steel. + Capability to set up and run welding machines. + Knowledge of different gases used in various welds. + Familiarity with welding symbols. + Experience with prototype welding or job shop welding. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Certifications (preferably AWS Certified in the past). **Why Work Here?** We promote from within, fostering a family-friendly atmosphere. We operate as a job shop with distinct areas for CNC and welding. The position is a 1st shift role, working Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour days) from 6am to 4:30pm, and Fridays are 8-hour days.
