The Aesthetician performs skin care services and assists in the care of the patient within The Beyond Spa.

Responsibilities

1. Assists clients with the sale of and guidance with retail products.

2. Educates clients on an ongoing basis about skin care and new advancements.

3. Provides excellent and appropriate skin care for clients.

4. Participates in marketing strategies.

5. Handles laundering, food and beverage services as needed.

6. Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).

7. Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

2. 5 years professional experience.

 

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. License Cosmetology and Hairstyling, Skin Care Specialist or License Cosmetology and Hairstyling, Cosmetologist-Hairstylist or License Cosmetology and Hairstyling, Beautician.
