Weyerhaeuser’s Montana Wood Products is currently looking to fill an AF Forklift position in our finish end at the Columbia Falls Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) facility.

Key Functions

Support manufacturing by operating a forklift to maintain a steady flow of packaged units through the AF Package Line at full production pace and to customer specificationsActively pursue status of all unprocessed and un-banded units waiting for the AF/package and process in a timely mannerResponsible for knowing panel grades, stamps and flowsOther duties include but are not limited to loading the banding station with stickers, changing out banding rolls, checking for open bays to stack products during shift and keeping the work area cleanLearn the duties of the AF Package Line Operator and Bander, as well as learn panel grades, stamps and flowsOperate, service and maintain equipment; including but not limited to performing pre-shift forklift inspectionComplete paperwork in an accurate and legible manner, including completion of move orders, and handling of retests

Knowledge of panels grades, stamps and flows to maintain the flow and organization of product through the AF Package Line.Ability to maintain the flow of units through the AF and package line at full production (capacity) and to customer specifications.Ability to operate, service and maintain equipment; included but not limited to a forklift.Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate and legible manner, including completion of move orders, and handling of retests.Ability to maximize packaging of products and minimize loss to the company.Ability to work with little direct supervision and be self-motivated. Ability to work closely with others; be a team player/leader; demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive attitude. Knowledge and willingness to use safety standards of forklift operation, use lockout procedures and wear necessary PPE.Ability to maintain a clean workstation, and exhibit good performance, safety and attendance records.Willingness to work any shift, work on short notice, work overtime and weekends and rotate between jobs; as well as perform any job as specified by supervisor. Willingness to learn AF Operator and Bander positions.
