Job Description

As a supervisor at AFB, you will set goals for your team that comply with schedules, organize workflow, delegate tasks, train your direct reports as well as new hires, and find ways for your team to be successful and comply with AFB’s vision.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Confirm operators are working safely, adhering to all policies and proceduresEnsure correct orders are run in a timely manner in the order that makes most sense to the business in Liquid and DryEnsure operators are following procedures to reduce quality errorsVerify IFS is up-to-date, correct, and all shop orders are closed outFill out an incident report if a situation occurs that violates policy and/or procedureReport out shift notes every work dayDaily Schedule adherence utilizing Visual Management, IFS and hour-by-hour documentDaily Visual Management updatingInventory counts dailyWork with Maintenance to ensure equipment runs properlyCOVID 19 safe workplace playbook adherenceDelegation of daily work to each report including hour by hour creationTraining of all employees on new rules and regulations and equipment, as well as new hiresHelp to resolve issues and disputesEvaluate performance and provide feedbackLead your team by example

Supervisory Responsibilities:

                                              

Directly supervises employees in the Production Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience4 years of related experienceDesired:Master’s Degree in Business, or related field of study.4 or more years of direct industry experienceCertifications-Lean Manufacturing
