Responsibilities:
Process initial, annual, and interim recertification's and calculate retroactive rent while conforming to HUD regulations and HUD guidelinesCalculate rents for annual and interim recertificationIdentify households with income reporting discrepancies and make rent adjustmentsReview applicant files and determine Section 8 eligibilityFollow LIHTC and Section 8 guidelinesNotify residents of upcoming recertification'sSchedule initial interviews for recertification'sPrepare third party verification formsMaintaining residents' files and paperworkReview tenant ledgers for arrearsQualifications:
4+ years recertification specialist experienceKnowledge of Section 8, LIHTC and HUDExperience with EIV reportsMust have knowledge of HUD/Public Housing/Tax Credit policies and proceduresDetail oriented and the ability to operate on a deadline driven schedulePossess strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsNotary public is preferredCOS certificationExperience with MORYardi experienceMicrosoft Office and Excel ExperiencePeople skills and superior communication skillsWorking Conditions:
Ability to work periodic flexible hours is required. Ability to travel by plane and automobile is requiredAbility to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoodsAbility to climb stairs, take elevators, bend, squat and reach overheadCushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
