Essential Functions Prepares materials and supplies for youth arts and crafts projects and assists participants when necessary. Encourages and engages youths in a variety of indoor and outdoor group recreational activities such as basketball, tag, and tetherball. Makes sure equipment and supplies are in good working order and notifies supervisor when items need repair or replacement. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training + 1 year experience volunteering or working with youths and/or teens in a daycare, sports league, afterschool program or similar environment. Ability to + provide basic instruction to youths; + participate in mild-to-moderate recreational activities/sports; + recognize and redirect misbehavior; + interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner; + work independently with limited supervision; + exercise considerable judgment and discretion. Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training + High school diploma or GED. + 2 years experience working with youths or teens as a coach, instructor, teacher’s aide, or nanny. + City of Boise daycare license. + Certified in CPR.
