Summary
Analyze lift truck materials and parts assigned in SAP ERP System and determine if part should be made available to sell to the retail network. Gather information from service product manager(s) and key contact(s) in technical communications to formulate recommendation. Based on determination, update SAP system to release lift truck materials for sale to the retail network.
Responsibilities
Analytics
Analyze and assess truck material data in SAP ERP system. Identify parts and make determination for release to sell to retail network. Utilize technical knowledge to evaluate service and parts manuals, engineering drawings, and other available resources to identify and make determination. Provide discovery results and collaborate with Service Product and Technical Communication Teams regarding part demand and insight. Update SAP system to release service materials to the retail network. Facilitate requests created through the workflow.
Inter-Departmental Communication
Act as liaison between Technical Communications, Engineering, Accounting, Service and Aftermarket Business Development to communicate determination. This includes adding new materials for Service. Identify and elevate potential workflow issues and provide a resolution
Systems
Maintain the service attribute field in the SAP material master. Review default SAP material master data transfer from SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure successful load. Ensure material master updates are completed, and material is set up and available for purchase by the retail network. Perform bi-annual audits of material master data, materials in the service manuals to materials on the price list, and material life cycle status is coded accurately. Create and enter Engineering Record (ER) changes into SAP system.
Training/Process Documentation
Train personnel in areas where processes have changed or evolved. Participate in cross training to provide back-up support upon absence. Create documentation for all process steps and workflows. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
2-4 years' related experience Associate degree Technical or BusinessNon-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced with SAP ERP system, SAP NetWeaver Business Client (ER workflow), and Microsoft Excel. Good verbal, and written communication skills as well as interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Able to organize and prepare communication in concise formats to cross-functional teams and management.
