Our research focuses on advancing the science of animal agriculture to ensure a continued safe, secure, and nutritious food supply. Position Summary This team member will serve as an integral part of the Ag Education and AgNext teams. The individual selected for this role should have demonstrated ability to independently organize administrative functions of a diverse team, including scheduling, planning and executing events and meetings, expense report submissions, financial record keeping, and travel scheduling. This individual will thrive in an often changing, dynamic environment where they will have a high degree of autonomy and accountability. The position will be housed at Agricultural Research, Development and Education Center ( ARDEC ). Required Job Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in any discipline + 1-2 years’ experience in administrative coordination duties + Experience in coordinating event and meeting details, such as agendas, securing locations, and catering + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, CANVAS , Canva and other standard business software + Experience with calendar management and coordination + Experience organizing and booking travel, including flights, hotels, and rental cars + Experience working with reimbursement and expense submission, submitting and processing purchase orders + Demonstrated ability to function independently and successfully move projects forward, operating with a high-level flexibility as priorities shift + Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date (frequent travel between campuses and across state) Preferred Job Qualifications + Prefer bachelor’s degree in agriculture or education disciplines + Experience with outreach and engagement through in-person and email communication + Familiarity with science related to sustainability in animal agriculture, food systems and supply chains. + Familiarity with agricultural education and FFA (e.g career development events (CDEs)). + Demonstrated evidence of working with diverse audiences and teams Diversity Statement Personal or professional commitment to diversity and inclusion as demonstrated by persistent effort, active planning, allocation of resources and/or accountability for diversity and inclusion outcomes.
