POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a contract position for up to one year. A Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements and maintains methods, tools, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. They interface with Design, Test, and Reliability Engineering to create successful product launches and to solve problems. They sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs an integral role on Product Design teams to drive designs that meet all cost and quality goals. Reviews product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Performs Design for Manufacturability analysis on new products Estimates manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines Takes a leadership role in driving continuous improvement projects to elevate product performance in manufacturing Implements manufacturing-industry best known methods in support of Continuous Improvement Projects to increase efficiency and effectiveness of production Analyzes work content for distribution to workcenters and capacity requirements Recommends and prepares changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate manufacturing
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Manufacturing Engineers regularly work in offices, labs, and manufacturing facilities. Travel to international vendor, manufacturing, and/or development locations may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have strong problem-solving attributes. Skilled at communicating with and influencing design teams, vendors, and customers
EXPERIENCE:
Greater than 5 years of relevant design/development team and/or manufacturing support
EDUCATION:
Essential:
Bachelors Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
Desirable:
6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 to $95,000 per year.
