This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum.
The Agency Relations Specialist is responsible for optimizing the strategic partnership between the brand marketing teams and the content adaptation agency. This role ensures seamless communication, process efficiency, and high-level collaboration across both teams. The Agency Relations Specialist oversees client/agency relationship, including onboarding, workflow design, coordination with purchasing for pricing negotiations, staffing coordination, and overall operational management. By ensuring that content adaptation projects are executed on time and to the highest standards, the Agency Relations Specialist aligns deliverables with both brand objectives and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Agency & Brand Relationship Management: Spearhead the onboarding process for both the content production agency and internal brand marketing teams. Align on workflows, goals, and expectations from the outset. Establish the infrastructure for effective collaboration, ensuring the right tools, communication channels, and operational frameworks are in place. Proactively identify and address challenges or opportunities to optimize collaboration between teams.Process Development & Standardization: Drive the design and implementation of standardized, scalable content production processes, ensuring they can be replicated across various brands and markets. Continuously assess workflows for bottlenecks and inefficiencies, leading initiatives to refine operational processes and enhance overall productivity.Cross functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the brand and global marketing teams to establish scopes ensure that content adaptation initiatives stay within agreed-upon scope. Facilitate with purchasing all aspects of agency pricing, resolving any discrepancies or concerns regarding invoicing. Lead staffing plan coordination, ensuring the right blend of resources is deployed for maximum efficiency. Manage quarterly scope discussions to align agency capabilities with brand needs.Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the brand marketing team and the content production agency. Act as the primary point of contact for operational escalations, challenges, or conflicts. Facilitate regular status meetings, feedback loops, and performance assessments to ensure that both teams remain aligned and collaborative. Lead post-project reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee the tracking and reporting of key agency performance metrics, including delivery timelines, cost efficiencies, and content quality. Provide actionable insights and performance updates to Marketing leadership and the brand marketing teams, driving continuous improvement across all content adaptation initiatives.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in agency operations, strategy, or account management, preferably within a marketing or creative agency environment.Experience or exposure working in a post production environmentProven track record of building and sustaining strong, effective relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge gaps between complex brand objectives and agency capabilities.Strong problem-solving acumen, with the ability to manage conflict and resolve operational inefficiencies.Demonstrated experience managing content production processes in partnership with both internal teams and external agencies.Expertise in process optimization or change management, with a focus on enhancing agency collaboration and operational performance.Superior organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects across teams and departments.Flexibility in standard work hours to accommodate global business needs).Additional Job DescriptionGM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
