Aggregates Sales Manager

Heidelberg Materials Southwest Region is looking to hire an Aggregates Sales Manager.  This position will be based in New Braunfels, Texas and report to the VP Aggregates Sales.  The Aggregates Sales Manager will be responsible for the direct supervision and professional development of a sales team covering a territory that expands throughout the Central Texas area. This position will require extensive travel throughout area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Development: Lead, develop, and mentor the sales team to achieve annual objectives, spending ~50% of your time in the market coaching and motivating your team members.Market & Sell: Market and sell Aggregate products within the Central Texas market, ensuring our competitive position is established, maintained, and/or improved.Strategic Planning: Develop and drive Market Management Plans, Customer Management Plans, and bid strategies and procedures.Collaboration: Collaborate with operations and quality teams to develop actions to meet industry standards.Customer Engagement: Target new accounts and cultivate existing customers to expand our presence in the market. Build relationships with key decision makers at existing and potential new customers.Market Analysis: Review market conditions regularly and report on sales mix, prices, and volumes.Forecasting & Budgeting: Participate in sales forecasts and create annual budgets and targets.Accounts Receivable: Work with customers and our credit department to optimize accounts receivable.Industry Representation: Represent the company within industry associations.Strategic Opportunities: Identify, in tandem with Area Managers, strategic opportunities across all our lines of business.Essential Experience and Skills:At least 7 years of Aggregates Sales experienceDemonstrated team leadership skillsIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft OfficeOutstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management and critical thinkingBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in the construction materials industryWork Environment:
This role operates primarily in a professional office environment but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
