Agile Coaching Senior (Hybrid 3 Days in Office)

The Agile Coaching Senior will be part of the EDO Modern Delivery Portfolio, helping to transform the way in which Freddie Mac does business.

You, as our ideal candidate, will have significant impact in our team, and in our world.  You will guide and lead the team through the delivery of software and services, while embracing and promoting the Agile attitude. You will partner with Product Management, Product Owners, and others to define the mission value to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.

The Agile Coaching Senior will be responsible for working directly with a team across the company implementing the Freddie Mac Agile Methodology. This position requires an experienced Agile Coach with a strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Agile Methods, including Scrum and Kanban. This individual will be responsible for facilitating the Freddie Mac Agile Methodology, practices and ceremonies.


You Will Also:

Work with Scrum Team to ensure scrum best practices are followed from the initiation through delivery of EDO projects

Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment

Facilitate the management of the product backlog and coordinate with other Agile Coaches to identify and manage cross-team dependencies

Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving

Closely track and monitor the scrum team’s deliverable and reports metrics at the iteration and project levels

Mentor and coach Scrum team to instill agile values and principles and lead by example

Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information

Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog

Facilitate productivity by mediating through conflicts, help team to make decisions, and adhere to continuous improvement principles

Keep Scrum process on track and pass it to the team as self-organization matures

Help team adhere to the best engineering practices and make sure everybody understands technical debt concept

Leverage data to measure & monitor progress

Ensure agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, and be able to be a voice of reason and authority

Have agile mindset, understand what’s behind agile values and principles

Understand Scrum framework very well and understand values that each artifact/role/event brings

Remove team impediments and facilitate Agile practices

Facilitate the creation of a self-organized, self-managed team that can identify and deliver the work that can be completed in a time-boxed Iteration.

Train, or support the Agile Coaches training, of the team on the Freddie’s Agile methodology, processes and controls

Ensure the project team adheres to the Freddie Mac Agile Project control

Qualifications:

5+ years of direct experience in one or more aspects of Information Technology (Software design/ development, IT Architecture, or other related IT areas)

Minimum of Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Scrum Master (PMI-ACP) required; Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus

Two or more years of explicit experience as an Agile Scrum Master of an Agile delivery team, preferably in a variety of situations including large organizations

Kanban certification preferred

Hands-on VersionOne/JIRA tool experience preferred

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $118,000 - $178,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
