Agile Scrum Master
**Responsibilities** Noblis leads the integration and development teams responsible for implementing IRS IT solutions across the agency. The IRS is responsible for processing and managing the tax data for all US taxpayers and corporate entities. To support that mission, the IRS implements a significant number of IT systems and organizational programs that are critical to tax processing. In this role, the Scrum Master will leverage Agile methodology to lead the IRS implementation of the various programs and solutions to deliver quality results in a rapid, iterative process while achieving continuous improvement of the IRS solutions. Professionals in Scrum and Agile are responsible for facilitating and optimizing the Agile development process within their organizations, enabling teams to deliver high-quality products iteratively and efficiently. They utilize their expertise in Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and Lean principles to guide teams through planning, execution, and delivery cycles. Typical responsibilities include coaching and mentoring Agile teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement techniques, facilitating Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to foster collaboration, transparency, and accountability, and removing impediments and resolving conflicts to ensure smooth team operation and progress towards sprint goals. Scrum and Agile roles also involve collaborating with product owners, stakeholders, and other teams to prioritize backlog items, define acceptance criteria, and align deliverables with business objectives. Additionally, professionals may contribute to organizational Agile transformation initiatives, advocate for Agile best practices, and provide guidance on scaling Agile practices across the enterprise. Their expertise in areas such as Agile coaching, servant leadership, team dynamics, and metrics analysis enables organizations to embrace Agile values and principles, improve team productivity, and deliver value to customers more effectively. The professional is responsible for leading individual projects, people, or technical/functional solutions, leveraging capabilities and sharing and seeking knowledge and information across the organization. You understand the current and emerging client space and evaluate and apply practical and innovative concepts and methodologies to solve difficult problems. Independently complete routine work. As a part of the Noblis team, you make recommendations to improve standard practices, procedures and tools. You employ advanced skills and grow project deliverables, as well as your expertise. You will interact with the scrum team memebers as well as product owners and other stakeholders. You will participate in agile release train activities and interact with other scrum masters and scrum teams. **Required Qualifications** + Must have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience. + Experience using Scrum project management tools, including Jira, IBM ELM + Experience working with organizations with limited direction – history of successfully defining the work needed to meet the mission and the drive to execute that plan. + Effectively communicate with your government counterparts, other technical PMs + Strong technical understanding and knowledge of IT programs and/or cybersecurity + Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust (US citizen OR a green card holder living in the US for at least 3 years) **Desired Qualifications** + Active IRS/Treasury Public Trust **Overview** Noblis (http://www.noblis.org/) and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI , and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
