Agile Scrum Master
Job Description The Senior Scrum Master will have Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) expertise and is a highly experienced Agile Coach who leads, coaches and trains multiple Scrum/ Kanban/ Scrumban teams within a large organization using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Senior Scrum Master will coach at both the team level and at the release train level. The Senior Scrum Master will promote continuous improvement and facilitate all key meetings as they relates to Agile. This will include PI Planning, ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, Refinement of both Features and Stories, Retrospectives at both the release train and team level. The Senior Scrum Master will ensure that teams are aligned on delivery schedule and that impediments are being addressed. The Senior Scrum Master will have ability to work with leaders to address and remove impediments. Responsibilities: SAFe Implementation and Coaching: Guide shared services teams in a Hybrid Agile Environment in adopting and effectively utilizing SAFe practices, including PI Planning, Retrospectives and facilitating key SAFe routines across multiple teams/ARTs. Team Coaching and Development: Mentor and coach scrum teams on Agile principles, continuous improvement, self-organization and problem-solving to enhance their performance within the SAFe Framework. Impediment Removal: Identity and actively resolve cross-functional and team impediments that hinder team progress, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders when necessary. Cross Team Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration and communication between teams within an ART, ensuring dependencies are managed and alignment is maintained throughout the program increment (PI). Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Track team metrics and identify areas for improvement, suggesting adjustments to processes and practices to optimize the delivery flow using Band of Americas SAFe implementation. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) at all levels, including PMO, product owners, technical leads, leadership, developers, testers and compliance teams to ensure transparency and alignment with business goals and objectives. Agile Culture Champion: Promote a Lean-Agile mindset and culture with the organization, encouraging continuous learning and adaptation to changing requirements. Agile Tooling: Ability to manage a JIRA/Confluence environment for both teams and ARTs. Technical Expertise: Understand the technical aspects of the development process and provide guidance on best practices for continuous integration, delivery, and DevOps within a Scaled Agile environment. Change Management: Ability to work with leadership to implement key changes across teams to increase ART and Team performance. Multitasking: Ability to work on multiple projects and work with teams to switch quickly when priorities change, Required Skills Strong relationship, verbal and written communication, teambuilding, and influencing skills. Agile Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban experience. Ability to custom tailor the Scaled Agile Framework for a Shared Services environment. Expertise in Standard Waterfall and Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) (Scrum/Kanban/Scrumban) SDLC. Analytical experience ability to interpret requirements into technical solutions, issue resolution, risk mitigation and avoidance. Skilled experience with Agile lifecycle management tools, including JIRA, Confluence Microsoft Office. In depth Exposure to application development. Skills and Requirements Over 5+ years of agile coaching experience at the team level and release train level. Must be a self-starter, motivated, innovative, ability to adapt to changing priorities and work hours. Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals. Must be able to problem solve and work through solutions quickly. Must have project management/ leadership experience. Strong verbal, written and organizational skills. Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Must have a Certified Senior Scrum Master Certification. Must have a Agile Coaching Certification. Must have a Scrum Master Certification.
