**Job Title: Agricultural Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Agricultural Mechanic will have the ability to operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of agriculture equipment. They will also supervise assigned seasonal employees during seasonal harvest operations as well as overhaul and rebuild equipment during the non-processing season.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair and maintain peas and corn harvest equipment and related machinery.
+ Maintain cost control over equipment for budget purposes.
+ Perform maintenance in other areas of the facility when needed.
+ Ensure an even, constant, and sufficient flow of product that meets or exceeds company standards during harvest season.
+ Manage employee relations.
+ Ensure that GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety rules, and regulations are being followed and enforced.
+ Work in conjunction with Area Supervisors to maintain production and quality.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience and knowledge with diesel engines and hydraulic systems of harvesting equipment (servicing and actual operating).
+ Electrical skills.
+ Blueprint reading.
+ Repair and inspection skills.
+ Agricultural equipment troubleshooting.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Good mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Automotive repair and engine diagnostic ability would be a plus.
+ Willingness and ability to function in a team environment.
+ Two-year degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.

Mechanic shop environment with duties including troubleshooting, installing, and removing equipment both inside and outside of the plant.
