Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements This position requires lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.; standing or walking with objects up to 25 lbs.; sitting at computer for extended periods; repetitive motion; is subject to seasonal temperature extremes; and has some risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job. Shift Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and evenings and weekends as needed. Job Summary The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky, and the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment seek a Curator. The Curator will develop, expand and deliver formal and informal educational programming about The Arboretum’s natural resources for the community and the campus. Effective communication, collaboration, and interaction with diverse audiences including volunteers, visitors, students and university research/teaching staff is required. The Curator will lead the advancement, growth, and promotion of our notable native plants collection in the Walk Across Kentucky and the Arboretum Woods, while also performing curatorial functions for our horticultural plantings.
