Agro Development Supervisor - Dak Lak
Overview Develop a system of households and growing areas to produce potatoes (seeds and processing) to serve the company's business plan. Monitor and advise households from planting to post-harvest to ensure that potatoes meet the quality and productivity requirements of the company. Responsibilities Monitor and develop a system of households: a) Develop a sufficient number of households and growing areas according to the department's plan. b) Inform and encourage households to participate in Pepsico's training program. c) Survey and evaluate according to the household survey form (farmcard) and select and persuade qualified households to cooperate in potato production (seeds and processing) to sign contracts with Pepsico. d) Train and advise on potato cultivation techniques, field management to ensure productivity and quality according to the company's requirements. e) Inspect and supervise farmers to properly implement the company's potato production process to ensure the quality of potatoes after harvesting from the contracted area supplied to Pepsico. f) Periodically report on the field status, harvest yield, damaged area, etc. g) Evaluate farmers after harvesting based on the available criteria of the farmer evaluation system data. h) Conduct field research to find the best solution to improve productivity, product quality, and reduce production costs. i) Comply with the processes (Agro process, P2P process, etc.) and the company's processes. Build team capacity: a) Organize training for employees on technical and work processes to help employees perform their jobs safely and effectively. b) Establish goals and evaluate work performance according to PMP process for employees c) Propose rewards and discipline employees d) Communicate policies and information related to employees in the department in a timely manner. e) Participate in regular meetings between supervisors and team leaders to agree on implementation plans and update issues related to techniques, production plans and work results. f) Manage and train outsourced staff to implement the development of acreage and households in the assigned area. Qualifications Required skills and experience - University graduate majoring in Cultivation, Plant Protection, or Plant Physiology - Have at least 3 years of experience in cultivation. - Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) - Communication and negotiation skills - Supervision and staff training skills Main interactions inside and outside the organization - Internal: Seed department, Accounting, Human Resources, Production, QC…. - External: farmers, suppliers, transporters, local authorities…
