AHMG’s advanced practice providers manage the treatment and care for our patients in the practice setting, as well as at AdventHealth’s eleven campuses in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, AdventHealth for Children, East Orlando, Kissimmee, Orlando, Winter Park, Waterman, Winter Garden, and AdventHealth for Women AHMG Hospitalists at Central Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C), Nocturnist 6 pm – 6 am AdventHealth Winter Park General Summary: The ARNP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for: • Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol • Provides assistance during procedures when requested • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed • Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff • Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth Knowledge and Skills Required: • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public. • Strong communication skills • Ability to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient setting • Position requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours of 6PM-6AM • Position is based at AdventHealth Winter Park • Candidate must be able to pass a third party background check and pre-employment drug screen Required Education/Experience: • Master’s degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies Preferred Education/Experience: • Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 years • Prefer 2 years of inpatient based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine Licensure, Certification, and Registration: • Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) required • ANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) required • Current BLS and ACLS required **Category:** Physician Services **Schedule:** Full-time **Req ID:** WP-A0430-HB-Hospitalist-Repl We are an equal opportunity employer and do not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or disability/handicap with respect to recruitment, selection, placement, promotion, wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment.
