Job Summary

The Facilities AMP Manager (Asset Management and Planning) is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operations, and maintenance of facilities and assets, ensuring efficient management and long-term sustainability. This role includes developing and implementing asset management strategies to optimize the life cycle of physical assets, coordinating capital improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Facilities AMP Manager leads a team of maintenance and facilities professionals, working closely with internal stakeholders to address the evolving needs of the organization. The position also involves identifying opportunities for cost savings, improving efficiency, and managing facility-related projects from conception to completion. The Facilities AMP Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and enhancing the functionality of facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies to optimize the lifespan and performance of facility assets, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and structural components.Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules of all building systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Lead and coordinate facility improvement projects, ensuring they meet budget, timeline, and scope objectives.Manage preventive maintenance programs and assess the effectiveness of the facilities management system.Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and prioritize asset replacement or upgrade needs, ensuring the long-term viability of critical infrastructure.Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring high levels of productivity and adherence to best practices.Prepare and manage budgets for facilities maintenance and capital projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across all facilities.Conduct regular facility assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure asset reliability.Build relationships with external vendors and contractors to source materials and services for facility's needs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.At least 5 years of experience in facilities management, asset management, or maintenance in a supervisory or managerial role.Proven experience in managing large-scale facilities maintenance and capital improvement projects.Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and asset lifecycle management.Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA’s CFM or FMP).Experience with energy management systems and sustainability initiatives.Knowledge of project management methodologies and certifications (e.g., PMP).
