As an AI/ML Platform Architect - Executive Director on the Technology Team, you'll lead the design, development, and implementation of our AI/ML platform. You'll need to be a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a proven track record in architecting scalable, high-performance AI/ML solutions. To be successful, you'll bring a strong background in AI/ML technologies, cloud computing, and data engineering, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Job responsibilities

Design and architect scalable and robust platforms for artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) applications. Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand their needs and translate them into effective platform solutions. Lead the selection and integration of appropriate tools and technologies for data processing, model training, and deployment. Ensure the platform supports high-performance computing and efficient resource management. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the AI/ML platform. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies. Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional architecture objectives Makes and is accountable for decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures Manage risks and achieve business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.. 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in AI/ML architecture and platform development. Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale AI/ML platforms and solutions. Strong proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications capabilities, and skills:

Masters degree or PHD in a related field preferred Publications or contributions to the AI/ML community. Experience in the financial industry Certifications in AI/ML, cloud computing, or related areas.
