AI Strategy Lead

Position Overview 

The AI Strategy Lead will drive the strategy of the AI Community of Expertise (CoE). This role focuses on ensuring alignment across the company’s business units to maximise the impact of AI investments through effective cross-company collaboration and targeted AI CoE support. This remote position reports directly to the AI CoE Lead and collaborates closely with global stakeholders across Business Units and Enabling Functions as well as with colleagues within the Office of the CTO. 

Key Responsibilities 

Lead the AI Strategy Forum to facilitate the alignment of AI initiatives and investments across Business Units and Corporate Functions, guiding the organisation towards maximising value and minimising costs.  Lead the development and implementation of the AI CoE Leadership’s strategy, incl. collaborating with AI CoE Leadership to appropriately prioritise work on infrastructure & tooling, common services, and exploratory R&D; monitoring and reporting progress against OKRs.  Facilitate collaboration between the AI CoE Leadership and Corporate Functions on shared initiatives, primarily: implementing AI governance frameworks and processes, fostering an AI developers’ community, upskilling staff on AI best practices, publishing external thought leadership.  Support AI CoE Leadership in key internal collaboration goals and processes, esp. expanding the engineering team, facilitating cross-time zone collaboration through efficient workflows. 

Qualifications and Skills 

A master’s degree or higher in Business, Technology Management, or a related field.  At least 7 years of experience in digital transformation, strategy development, innovation leadership.  Proven ability to lead globally distributed teams towards shared objectives.   Familiarity with key concepts at the intersection of computer science and learning science.  Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical & non-technical stakeholders.  Strong skills in collaborative problem solving and peer coaching.  Experience of working across regions, with sensitivity to cultural and time zone differences. 

Location 

This position is global with a primary expectation of remote work with occasional travel for collaboration with global teams. Slight time zone preference for either UK or East Coast US/Canada.
