GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Transports patients to and from the Medical Imaging and Cardiology Departments. Develops and/or copies films, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transports patients in a safe, efficient, and timely manner; exhibits concern for the patient's privacy, well-being, and comfort during transportation. (40%)Acts as an advocate for promoting patient safety in all activities including ensuring that every patient is properly identified and has an armband with the correct name before transportation. (10%)Maintains equipment and supplies for efficient operations, e.g., ensures that transport equipment is available when needed and that oxygen tanks are checked, replaced, and in good working order. (10%)Processes and handles films in the darkroom using proper technique and in accordance with procedures. (40%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

CPR – American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
