The Siri Attention and Invocation team in Siri is responsible for building features like “Hey Siri”, “Siri”, and “Back-to-back requests” that allow users to communicate with Siri in a natural and personalized way. **Description**
You will lead a team that uses ML to push the boundaries of natural conversation with Siri so that Siri can respond to users when they want to interact with Siri without compromising on the promise of protecting user privacy. You will work with cross-functional partners to support new use cases, such as Apple Intelligence, and to evolve existing systems to support emerging capabilities in new products. You will lead the way in building ML models that support new user experiences, adopting automated processes for model training and deployment, and tracking offline/online metrics to ensure a great customer experience. **Minimum Qualifications**
+ 5-7 years of practical experience in shipping ML features to a large customer base
+ 3+ years of experience with software engineering in production systems (working with Python or R and/or C/Objective-C/C++, Swift, or Rust)
+ 3+ of experience as a manager for a team responsible for shipping and maintaining user-facing ML features with cross-functional partners

+ Experience with large-scale deployments and tracking in production

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,300 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
