Overview The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). Responsibilities + Be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for a Force Operations (FO) Software (SW) development team. + Will include reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. + Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification. + Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint. + Will include technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership. + Will report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission Qualifications Basic Qualifications: + Must have a good understanding of defense design and the following capabilities in a large system; resource laydown, plans and orders from higher echelon units (HEUs), radar initialization parameters, defense plan evaluation, and user interfaces. + Must have the ability to provide oversight to an FO SW development and verify the team’s work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews. + Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers. Required Qualifications : + Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset + Be a US citizen + Have a bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, science, or mathematics + Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above Other Qualifications : + An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. + Prior Product Owner of a SW development SCRUM team is a plus.
