Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will act as the HVAC equipment mechanic foreman in the absence of the shop supervisor. You will review work order requirements reflecting systems, parts, and assembles to be repaired, modified, or installed. You will lead perform installation, repair, and maintenance of large commercial and industrial ventilation, air conditioning (AC), and cooling systems with complex problems and extensive repairs. You will lead and perform installation, modification, overhaul, repair, and maintenance on a variety of complex heating boilers and/or heating systems, single and multiple fuel power boilers, and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment. You will lead and perform essential electrical work incidental to the maintenance and operation of HVAC/R systems. You will utilized safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to lead in performing common tasks including serving as a work leader over crews of the HVAC crafts, installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying large/ complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and support equipment including mechanical system controls and distribution lines. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. This position requires to have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination to distinguish between colors and shades of colors. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Several vacancies may be filled.
