Preferred Qualifications + Three (3) years HVAC experience. + Previous experience in higher education or government. + Ability to read blueprints & schematics and read & interpret technical manuals. + Experience with SAP & AiM. Job Description Oversee and ensure the maintenance of appropriate heating and cooling levels in university buildings. Job Duties + Perform building equipment checks. Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, as assigned. + Recognize issues while working in buildings. Communicate issues to the Head HVAC Mech and shop supervisor in a timely manner. + Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment. + Troubleshoot equipment and controls and repair as needed. + Operate refrigerant recovery equipment and utilize other trade-specific tools, supplies, and equipment effectively and safely. Additional Information to Applicants + Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain eligibility to drive a university vehicle pursuant to the University’s Driver Selection Policy. + Must be available to work on call on a rotating basis with other HVAC shop personnel.
