Job Summary:
The purpose of the Air Entanglement Operator is responsible for operating air entanglement machines (includes air entanglement processes of: conventional, tack-twist, and roto-jet) where materials are used in the production of carpet fibers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Place yarn packages on creel, checking against work order to verify correct yarn lots Remove empty tubes from creel and determine if it is to be recycled through process or discarded Load empty tubes in machine Consistently watch lines for any quality issues Remove completed packages of yarn from doff belt and pack yarn on buggies Maintain standard clean and safe work environmentPerformance Expectations (if applicable):
Ability to lift 20 lbs. up to 5 feet consistently throughout the shift. Ability to carry a minimum of 20 lbs. up to a distance of 200 feet. Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift. Aptitude to pass a color vision test if neededExperience/Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job but will train.Other Requirements:
Overtime is required on occasion. All accidents must be reported immediately. Perform any other duties as assigned. Safety equipment must be worn as required. Report to management any quality, safety, or potential problems encountered while performing the job. Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.
