Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Los Angeles site is looking for a new Air Logistics Gateway and Procurement Supervisor to join our Air Logistics team. **Your Role** Reporting to the Area Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement Manager – West Area you will support efforts to service the air import product at the direction of the gateway manager. You will lead and direct work done by gateway staff in terms of quantity, quality, and timeliness. You will assist and support the gateway manager as directed to serve air import destination stations throughout the region and nation and origin stations throughout the world. **Your Responsibilities** + Prepare daily gateway deconsolidation plans. + Effect gateway staff work assignments. + Schedule the performance and timely completion of key gateway tasks. + Coordinate work of warehouse and drayage resources to achieve targeted results. + Hold gateway staff accountable for job assignments as directed and assist in staff performance evaluation. + Communicate with origin and destination internal customers. + Perform accounting assignments and assist managing the gateway FSL. + Fulfill the gateway manager’s job duties and accountabilities in his/her absence. + Support business process improvement initiatives at the gateway. + Comply with and support efforts and processes in compliance with U.S. Customs Border Protection regulations. + Support gateway attainment of prescribed company productivity ratios. + Support gateway attainment of prescribed key performance indicator measurements + Support development andtraining of gateway staff in compliance with company requirements + Communicate with air carrier and ground handling agent representatives and contribute to air carrier performance evaluation. + Support gateway efforts to build and maintain positive professional relationships at the local level. **Your Skills and Experiences** + 3+ years' demonstrated air gateway experience + 1+ years' leadership experience + Knowledge of AMS systems andtheir codes (Automated Manifest systems) + Must have experience working with Ground Handling Agents + Excellent written and spoken English language communication skills + Financial understanding and competency **Good Reasons to Join** At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
