Job Title: Air Monitor

Job Description

The Air Monitor is responsible for performing continuous air quality monitoring in compliance with AQMD Rule 1166 and Rule 1466. This role involves monitoring volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulate matter, providing real-time data, and reporting elevated levels immediately. The Air Monitor also calibrates air monitoring equipment daily to ensure accuracy and maintains records to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.

ResponsibilitiesPerform continuous air monitoring in compliance with AQMD Rule 1166 and Rule 1466.Monitor volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for Rule 1166 and particulate matter for Rule 1466.Provide real-time data and immediate reporting of elevated levels of VOCs or particulates.Calibrate all onsite air monitoring equipment daily and as needed to ensure accuracy.Ensure calibration of equipment is in accordance with AQMD and OSHA standards.Maintain calibration records to demonstrate compliance.Complete daily air quality monitoring logs.Maintain Rule 1466 logs, Rule 1166 logs, and DTSC logs.Generate weekly air monitoring reports.Compile a final compliance report upon completion of the project.Essential SkillsExperience with air quality monitoring and calibration of monitoring equipment.Knowledge of AQMD Rule 1166 and Rule 1466.Proficiency in using air monitoring equipment such as multi rae, mini rae, and q rae.Ability to troubleshoot and repair monitoring equipment.Experience in preventive maintenance and air export.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to maintain detailed logs and reports.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills for immediate reporting.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position requires working outside during night shifts from 9pm to 5am, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Orange County/LA, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
