Your Role:
We are seeking a professional to join our dynamic team as an Air Quality Engineer/Project Manager. The ideal candidate will bring experience in client/project management and regulatory compliance to enhance our growing air permitting team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead projects and play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and delivering exceptional service.
Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams. Stay informed on existing, new, and proposed regulations and apply them to client projects. Prepare accurate emission estimates using approved state and federal calculation methodologies based on site-specific information. Ensure quality control of both personal work and managed projects. Conduct comprehensive federal and state air quality regulatory reviews, contributing to strategy development for compliance. Evaluate air pollution control technologies for economic and technical feasibility, aiding in the selection of appropriate control equipment. Develop comprehensive air quality permits for Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and New Source Review compliance. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards. Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness. Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns. Additional duties as required.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of relevant post-education experience in air permitting including project management experience. Highly proficient in federal and state air quality regulations and permitting processes. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff. Effective communication and negotiation abilities. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Familiarity with developing and maintaining spreadsheets and relational databases to track operating and emissions data. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.Life at Tetra Tech:
