The Avionics Technician III is an entry-level position ideal for new graduates from Avionics or A&P technology schools. Also ideal for mechanics with less than five years of aircraft experience. **Our** **Step-Level Progression training** **program can help you** **acquire** **your** **FAA airframe license.**
**WORK LOCATION:** Onsite at AAR (at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK.)
**SCHEDULE** (Full-Time/non-exempt and variable, 40 – 50-hour workweek)
Supervisor determines shift/days required, but we can discuss in interview process. Typically, more flexible candidates will be preferred.
+ 1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm or 5:30am to 4:00pm
+ 2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12:00am or 3:30pm to 2:00am
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Perform basic aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks under supervision
+ Ensure aircraft are safely maintainedin accordance with the Airworthiness Standards
+ Use FAA approved/accepted data (i.e., IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently
+ Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements
+ Perform avionics repairs as assigned while meeting deadlines and quality standards
+ Read and follow technical publications, schematics, and/or mechanical drawings
+ Use a PC, iPad and basic computer applications and programs
+ Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
+ Adherence to work schedule, punctuality, and self-motivation

Qualifications:
**PRIMARY** **REQUIREMENTS**
+ 2 years avionics experience required
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
+ Some general maintenance experience (including relevant experience outside of aviation)
+ Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are crucial
+ Able to skillfully use the minimum tools required
+ Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing)
**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**
+ FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license (A&P)
+ Valid Driver’s License
+ Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT**
+ **Constant** **ly** **:** Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.
+ **Frequent** **ly** **:** Lifting≤40 lbs.,push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling forextended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrationsup to 2 hrs.to highvibrations up to 30 mins.Vision with/without correction; near <20”, far >20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
