BECOME AN AIRCRAFT CLEANER/TOILET SHROUD CLEANER AT PRIMEFLIGHT!
As an Aircraft Cleaner/Toilet Shroud Cleaner, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the aircraft fleet, including cleaning aircraft toilet shroud components after they’ve been disassembled by the airport maintenance team. You’ll ensure that both interior surfaces (such as cabins, floors, and windows) and toilet shroud components are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and restored to a safe, hygienic condition. Your role involves working with hazardous cleaning materials and adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards, while also performing general aircraft cleaning duties.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS AN AIRCRAFT CLEANER/TOILET SHROUD CLEANER
Clean, wash, and sanitize aircraft cabins, including seats, seat pockets, tray tables, lavatories, and overhead compartments Ensure galleys are stocked and organized according to airline standards Vacuum floors and clean carpets using designated equipment Replenish items such as seat covers, headrests, and blankets Clean windows and ensure they are free from smudges or stains Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly Ensure emergency equipment (life vests, oxygen masks, etc.) is properly stored and intact Coordinate with team members and airport staff to meet cleaning schedules Perform deep cleaning of disassembled toilet shroud components Use specialized cleaning agents and techniques to remove contaminants, stains, odors, and hazardous residues Clean and sanitize toilet components including the seat, seat frames, and surrounding surfaces Sanitize high-touch areas such as handles, seats, and the waste compartment Use disinfectants and deodorizing agents to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and odors Perform additional disinfection cycles if necessary to meet hygiene standards Safely handle and clean components exposed to hazardous materials Use appropriate protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning procedures to remove biohazardous material Ensure waste disposal complies with safety and environmental regulations Inspect toilet components for damage or wear and report issues to the maintenance team Verify all components are cleaned to the highest standards and free of debris or contamination Conduct a final inspection to ensure cleanliness and sanitation before reassembly Prepare toilet shroud components for reassembly, ensuring they are properly dried and sanitized Dispose of waste, including cleaning materials and biological waste, in accordance with regulations Ensure proper disposal of contaminated PPE, cleaning cloths, and other materials Follow safety protocols, including use of PPE, proper ventilation, and handling of cleaning chemicals Comply with aviation cleanliness standards, local regulations, and environmental safety laws Participate in regular safety and compliance training to stay updated on hazmat handling and cleaning procedures Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older Eligible to work in the United States One year of Aircraft Cleaning experience preferred Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means Pass a background check and drug screen Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable) Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
