Aircraft Electrician
The Aircraft Mechanic I avionic/electrician maintains and troubleshoots SOF peculiar aircraft MDS type MH47/MH60/MH6, as it pertains to electrical and avionics systems, sub-systems, communications, navigation systems, aircraft survivability equipment, and other systems. Will function in either a phase bay or flight line environment. **Responsibilities** + This mechanic will be required to repair and replace aircraft wiring, replace aircraft components, and trouble shoot aircraft electrical systems as needed or as instructed in technical publications and IETMS. + Will need to be able to use hand tools, a multi-meter, and other standard avionic test sets in order to maintain and trouble-shoot aircraft systems. + Reads schematics, interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing aircraft wiring or faulty components. + Must be able work independently during travel and while at home station while performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. + Must be able to perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records on systems being utilized by the organization. **Qualifications** + 6+ years' experience in Army aviation. SOF aviation experience desirable. + Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time / complete TDY assignments. + Ability to make sound decisions when troubleshooting and maintaining avionics systems. + Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics and IETMs. + Maintain aircraft logbook forms and records. Experience with ACN or other electronic logbook system. + Experience using multi-meters and avionic tests sets. + Basic solder certified or able to obtain certification.
