Aircraft Engine Shop Mechanic
The engine shop mechanic works in a back shop inspecting, adjusting, repairing, and returning turbine engines to service following both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Inspects, adjusts, repairs, or replaces aircraft rotary wing turbine engines and components of the engines. + Specializes in turbine engines for MH-6/MH47/MH-60 aircraft. + Assist in DECU downloads and engine troubleshooting procedures both in the hangar and on the flight-line. + Utilize test carts to run APU engines following maintenance activities. + Responsible for recording all maintenance activities performed in ACN and completing all documentation on parts removed and installed. **Qualifications** + Must be a U.S. citizen. + Must be able to obtain a secret clearance. + Must have a minimum of 6 years in aviation maintenance with at least 2 years working in an aircraft turbine engine shop. + Must be able to read and interpret technical publications and schematics. + Must have own tools and toolbox. + Must have the physical capability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on wings, use ladders, operate tugs, operate lifts, and lift up to 45 lbs.? + MOS service school 15B or equivalent preferred. **Job ID** 2025-15505 **Work Type** On-Site **Company Description** **Work Where it Matters** Akima Technical Solutions (ATS), an Akima company, is not just another federal technical solutions contractor.
